We’re playing at my favorite venue in SF, the Blue Six. Kevin’s coming up and we’re doing a stripped down set between the two of us… There’ll be low lighting, pillows on the ground, cheap whiskey and beer… why you ask? because it’s all the better to seduce you with.
We’re playing with some good folks as well: The Radical Folksonomy and Sandra B
The seduction starts at 9:00 PM on April 17th at:

And my head / body feels like this picture of our cooler that was equal parts duct tape and Styrofoam by the end of the trip. But I think I can speak for everyone who was part of this last week that we’re all smiles still.

We have a lot of really awesome content coming out from the tour over the next few weeks, months, including a documentary that our friend Steven Preston did on the whole tour. Be on the look out for that. But for now, I’m going to catch up on the life I abandoned… Will check in soon.

We spent last night at Jalama beach which was ridiculously beautiful. Highlights included:
-sage’s jambalaya burritos
-our hour long set of made up campfire songs. The titles included: 1) don’t have a ticket to the big game, but I’m tailgaiting bitches 2) kevin’s 15 wives who couldn’t make chicken 3) why are there no dark jedi? 4) Stevens rendition of ‘the cat came back’
-nobody dying after one of the large stones we threw into the fire pit to make coals out of exploded and sent glowing hot rock schrapnel everywhere
Now, we’re en route to our show at SOHO in Santa Barbara tonight. We go on at 9pm an are opening for the kinsella brothers.

It’s really something to play a show to complete strangers and have the whole room in a quiet hush as you do. We had that kind of experience at The Clubhouse in San Luis Obispo last night, just an amazing audience of fans of music that really dug what we did. Thanks so much to Shannon Savage for housing us, booking the show, and playing a wonderful set after us. Kevin got to play drums for three bands including Shannon’s band, Honeyguide.
Now off to Jalama to camp on the beach for our day off, have Sage make us some dinner on the fire, drink some camping beer, and watch the sun set on the Pacific. Mmmmmm…

Big sur. Beautiful. Inspiring. We camped at Andrew molera park last night, met some new friends from Portland at the site (if you guys are reading this at all, hit us up, we forgot to get your info). Then headed to the Maiden Publick House, where Ashley and Joel laid out the red carpet at one of the coolest bars we’d been to in a while. (If you end up in Big Sur, this place is a must visit) We did a totally acoustic set next to a fireplace, cozy time.
Then Black Sails Western Shores did a fucking blistering set of some of the most refreshing punk we’d heard in a while. Fuck yeah guys. We’re gonna have to come see you guys in Bakersfield some time for sure…
And now, we’re creeping down the California coast line from Big Sur to San Luis Obispo , stopping whenever steve and Ozzie need to film anything, taking in one of the most beautiful stretches of land in the world, and just laughing our asses off about it all.

Steven is aiming to start a circus at the camp site in big sur with his tent. Thanks everyone in Santa Cruz for all the hospitality. Hats off to mr. Andrew for playing a couple song for us last night. And a special thanks to eric from The Parish for treating us like kings last night at the venue. Looking forward to another night of fun at the Maiden Publick House tonight.
